S ECTION 6: A CCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

6.1. P ERSONAL PRECAUTIONS , PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES :

6.1.1 F OR NON-EMERGENCY PERSONNEL:

In case of accidental release do not walk on the contaminated area and avoid any contact and further spread of the substance. Avoid dispersion caused by wind.

6.1.2. F OR EMERGENCY RESPONDERS: Keep non trained personnel away from the area where the accidental release took place. Remove any flame and ignition source. Wear adequate clothing to proceed to cleaning up. Refer to section 8 for personal protection.

6.2. E NVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS :

Avoid dispersion of substances in drains, surface and ground water.

6.3. M ETHODS AND MATERIALS FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP :

6.3.1 . A DEQUATE CONTAINMENT TECHNIQUES: For minor releases: proceed with normal collection and cleaning operations trying to avoid dispersion of the substance and the formation of dust in the air. For large spills proceed with the collection with suitable tools such as shovels and shovels, avoiding the dispersion and formation of dust in the air. Place the spilled material in drums or other suitable containers for disposal. Finish cleaning the contaminated surface by suction and / or detergent.

6.3.2.A DEQUATE RECOVERY PROCEDURES : Substance is water soluble: if a large quantity of substance is accidentally released in water inform authorities.

6.4. R EFERENCE TO OTHER SECTIONS :

Waste disposal: See Section 13.

SECTION 7: H ANDLING A ND S TORAGE

7.1. P RECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING :

7.1.1. R ECOMMENDATIONS ON HANDLING:

To minimize the generation and accumulation of dust. Avoid build up of significant amounts of material, especially on horizontal surfaces, because it can go into suspension in the air forming of combustible dust clouds and contributing to secondary explosions. Establish routine cleaning procedures to prevent dust from accumulating on the surfaces. The dried powders can be charged with static electricity due to friction that develops during the transfer and mixing operations. Take appropriate precautions, such as grounding and electrically bonding, or the use of inert atmospheres. Explosion-proof general and local exhaust ventilation. Avoid prolonged exposure. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid any contact with the substance.
