Product Information Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring straight-chained saturated dicarboxylic acid naturally present in rye, wheat, and barley. According to its well known in the art ability to inhibite the action of 5-a-reductase type 1 enzym, mainly present in sebocytes but also in epider- mal and follicular keratinocytes, dermal papilla cells and sweat glands, Azelaic acid can be successfull used in hair care products.
